The Contessa 32 is a modern classic. Since first launching in 1971 she has become widely recognised as the most popular cruiser-racer ever – a dream to sail and with a formidable reputation for stability and seaworthiness.
You will sail ‘Liamar’, a beautiful example of the Contessa 32, built in 1990, that incorporates refinements derived from constructing the more than 700 Contessa 32s that preceded her. Liamar is fully MCA (Marine and Coastguard Agency) Coded for offshore charter, and has additional safety equipment such as AIS (Automatic Identification System) and an Echomax active radar enhancer, to ensure maximum security from collision. A fully integrated state-of-the-art electronic navigation system was installed in 2013. Liamar carries a full sail wardrobe, a reliable engine, heavy-duty anchors, and an inflatable tender. Below decks there is a galley, a sophisticated sound system, and sleeping and dining accommodation for up to five guests.
Attributes of the Contessa 32 have been tested and reviewed numerous times in the yachting press, including several articles in which their sailing performance and seaworthiness have been compared with modern production yachts. View Press page >
